With four weeks to go until the big US Election, our general theme, loosely adhered to or ignored as usual:
"Choosing Candidates versus Choosing Issues"
Former New York mayor Ed Koch has said he would vote for Bush because, even though he disagrees with the President on domestic issues, he doesn't think Democrats have the intestinal fortitude for the war on terror. How do you weigh a candidate, by specific issues, or on the person himself?
Also we considered the question
Should Bville Schools require drug testing for students involved in extra-curricular activities? (Link to Examiner-Enterprise article)
Lightning-Debate topic for the evening: "Should Don Cut His Hair?" featuring Kevin Mnich (pro) and Chris Reiner (con) with David Mohammed as official timer.
